Now i know that the title sound too much like a myth, but in theory its kinda possible.
Now, i saw a device, maybe you saw it to, thats looks like a crown which you wear on your head and control some box in the PC by thoughts, or moving your hand.
When your brain works, there is
electric current (i don't know if i say it right) running in your brain. Now this current creates an e
lectrical field, which also goes outside your head and there it can be readed and converted by a device.cerebral
There is a part on your brains
cerebral cortex, which responsible for motor functions. I studied psychology only for 2 months, so i don't really know if its right, but as Wikipedia says:
"The
premotor cortex is actually a large complex of areas". That means that its not only on some specific place on the cortex. This is why it actually looks like on the picture, with lots of reading, lets call it, "microphones".
What this "thing" actually does??? It reads the electric field, created with your current in the motor areas, and converts it to actions on PC.
Broca's Area
Now, what all this post about??? No, its not only to talk about the "crown", its about the idea that came to me today. Im 100% sure that someone already thought about it, but as we all know, we yet haven't heard about some crown of this kind that can read mind!!!
As there a part that controls motor functions, there is a part that controls speech systems and its called -
Broca's Area. If im not wrong, your thoughts (the little voice that speaks in your head) is located in the same part of the cortex. Even if this in not right, we can easily find where it is located with todays technology, im not going to talk about it.
So why don't we read the electric field, which created by current in the cortex part, which controls thoughts, and convert it to a voice on the PC????I think thats this will work, so lets create one!!! XD
